The ETA has a long history of successful participation in important ballot measures. We hope to maintain our success and expand our emphasis to include more continuous watchdogging. Commensurate with our wider role, we will expand our communications with our members and the public. The restructuring of our website is just the beginning.
The new website has launched with our basic history and a blog. We have a bulletin board in the works and we will eventually upload much of the ETA's archives, which will be an important resource for Encinitas residents. The website will also house our newsletters and reports. Eventually, the design elements of the entire website will be cleaned up to improve functionality as well as develop a consistent look and feel. We decided to launch before polishing the superficial characteristics because there are many issues of substance coming before Encinitas residents. We will get back to polishing, but right now it is time to get cracking on important issues. Fortunately, the Encinitas City Council can only throw so much at the taxpayer without running out of stamina.
