The ETA is maintaining its role as an advocate of the taxpayer by monitoring activities of local government. The ETA welcomes volunteers who wish to assist our watchdog efforts.

The ETA is not currently active in a targeted campaign.

Sand Propositions

The ETA elected to take a neutral postion on Propositions F and G. These propositions require short-term rentals and hotels be taxed equally.

The ETA did encourage the City of Encinitas to improve these measures. To read what we recommended and how the council responded, see the ETA blog.

Council Candidates

The ETA asked the '08 council candidates several questions. The questions were selected by ETA members with the intension of focusing on issues that would not be brought up in the debates or by other organizations.
