Use of Surveys
Random Samples
These surveys are used when trying to accurately estimate the knowledge and opinions of the entire populace of the city. Depending on the level of precision needed we may use multiple methods of contacting selected citizens such as stratification and cluster sampling.
Membership Survey
Before the ETA enters into a major campaign the membership is asked to weigh in. The membership surveys help the ETA board to analyze the issues and gauge membership consensus.
Open Surveys
Open surveys allow the ETA to collect and quantatively review the views of citizens who are interested in various issues. These surveys can be useful in developing ideas about issues and help scope random samples which follow.
